Ministries

A ministry is an activity carried out by Believers of Christ to express, share, or spread the faith in Jesus the Christ. The ministry and its activities must line up with the vision and the mission given by God to the Pastor, for edifying of the Body of Christ. Every ministry within the local church shall include any and all members and avoids the appearance of isolation or independence. God wants us to depend on Him for everything; therefore, no ministry shall be an entity unto itself and shall represent Christ in every endeavor.

Help Ministries
The purpose of every Help Ministry is to vigorously, by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, share Christ with as many people as possible in our church, community, and throughout the world. In so doing, we are helping people exercise their knowledge of God, as they endeavor to be a church where each member is remembered in love. The ministry shall empower others to carry out the commandments of God as we become servants of God and be a praying and worshiping fellowship feeding the poor and aiding the needy.

Our charge is to carry out and fulfill God’s perfect Will and all His mighty plans for his church and all nations. We must understand that the Body of Christ, the Church, is not the end of the race as if we have already attained, but it is the beginning of the equipping of the members, the saints, to greater works. John 14:12.

Women's Ministry
Then Daughters of the Tabernacle focus on the empowerment of Christian women fueled by the Holy Spirit. We believe that, like Abigail, we have the authority and the power to act responsibly and with wisdom; like Esther, (Esther 4:13, 14) we women have unique God given gifts; like Ruth, we are women encouraging each other and strengthening each other; and like Mary, women who are not afraid to step into their God-given calling.

First Lady Shelia, Director of the Women's Ministry believes that women have lost the ability to speak to one another with grace and to show compassion, one to another. Her goal is to encourage all women to always edify Christ and help women to understand the principles of Ruth and Naomi by extending fellowship and love to one another.

The ministry shall be involved in aiding the homeless, the motherless, the weak, the ill and the imprisoned. Like those who held up the arms of Moses, we are women strengthening each other, holding each other up. Loving each other, trusting each other, and building each other up as Sisters-In-Christ.

Men's Fellowship
The Men's fellowship ministry is dedicated to aiding and instructing men to be the Godly men that they were created to be. A godly man is a servant who walks in wisdom and power. Who exudes excellence in every area of his life. This fellowship teaches men through the study of God's Word, how to reach out to the church, their family and their community; while becoming leaders as they are Ambassadors of Christ. It means serving your family, and being a godly example to your wife and children. The ministry shall be involved in aiding the homeless, the motherless, the weak, the ill and the imprisoned.

The men's fellowship is to provide men with resources to develop godly character, and to equip them to influence their world for Christ. The fellowship fosters just that -- fellowship one with another, sharing and caring one for another as “iron sharpens iron.” The fellowship's scriptural focus is, "The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out." Proverbs 10:9

Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry focuses on the spiritual and physical growth of children from birth to adult-hood. Using resources that are age-sensitive, we engage in edutainment activities to capture the attention of our youth, while keeping God the primary resource and source for all information taught.

Our youth shall know that Jesus Christ is the central focus in the life of the Christian and that the ministry is inclusive of the church's mission (Colossians 3:16-17)

Our youth shall know that they can use their gifts to the glory of God (1 Peter 4:10, Romans 12:4-8)

Our youth shall be equipped to grow in faith, strengthen their personal relationship with Christ and know who they are as God's people. They shall be taught with clarity and comprehension. (Ephesians 3:16-19)

Our youth shall repent and receive unconditional love as the stepping-stone of their Christian community experience (Ephesians 4:32)

Our youth shall develop significant relationships with their peers and caring adults, no matter the age (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

Our youth can freely ask any question and receive answers about faith and life and the issues of life can and will be addressed (2 Timothy 3:14-17, Matthew 7:7)

Our youth shall join in worship, be nurtured, serve, participate in outreach and fellowship activities
(1 Timothy 4:12, Acts 2:42-47)

Our youth shall know that they are accepted (Romans 15:5-7)

Our youth shall serve in meaningful ways in the church and in the world (2 Corinthians 9:12)

The ministry shall be involved in aiding the homeless, the motherless, the weak, the ill and the imprisoned. The Holy Scriptures are the framework that shall shape the fulfillment and understanding of youth ministry.
