Our Pastor

Elder Roberto Hinds, Jr., is the eldest son of Gladys and Roberto Hinds Sr., raised in the admonition and fear of God as a young man. He is a Shepherd for God’s people, full of empathy and compassion. After a brief Jonah experience where God was able to gain his full attention, Elder Hinds became stern in the things of God, understanding and reverencing God. He was called to ministry in 1997 to “go out and preach the gospel to every creature.” In 1999 he was ordained at Gethsemane Primitive Baptist Church, where Pastor Jasper Hill officiated the service.. He was then called to Pastorship in 2003, was ordained, given his charge and installed as Pastor of Christ Tabernacle Church Ministries, Inc., as Founder and Pastor by Pastor Randolph Cox. He whole-heartedly believes in “equipping the saints” so that each one of us may reach one of us. Fortified with a full knowledge of who God is and what his purpose is in this world, Pastor Hinds proves his passion for the people of God every day.

He served in the U.S. Army and after serving his appointed time, he was honorably discharged. Receiving his primary education in Panama City, Panama, Pastor Hinds obtained his college education at the University of Panama, Chaminade Univeristy, and University of Illinois.

Armed with the Word of God, Pastor Hinds is a true servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, standing in the gap for those who can’t stand for themselves. He conducts worship services, bible studies, and outreach programs. He shares his thorough knowledge of the scriptures with the world as he participates in speaking engagements.

Pastor Hinds is a forward planner with a God-given vision to keep the saints involved in the things of God.

He is married to First Lady Shelia, the love of his life and together they have raised six children and now enjoy the enthusiasm and energy of their grand-children.
